This crisis has forced us to accept radical and abrupt changes in our lives. We all feel the loss of time spent with co-workers and friends, concern for loved ones who may be at risk, and a growing awareness of the impacts of social isolation. As we “shelter in place,” I want to reassure you that even as we distance ourselves, we are in this together—in some respects, we are more united than we have ever been before.
Understanding that you may be overwhelmed as you manage multiple transitions to a whole new way of life, I want to reaffirm my commitment to you—that has not changed.
Connecting with you and listening to you is what I do and will continue to do. I may have to find ways to do this differently, but doing things differently for North Carolina is why I got into this race in the first place. If anything has changed, it is that I am more committed than ever.
